: Solar Kits
SunnySide Up
Our simplest solar car kit with our 1 volt 500 mAmp solar panel (with alligator clips), motor, pulleys, wooden wheels, screw eyes, axles, etc. Children build their own solar car, and can build onto recycled items. Picture

$22.00

SunnySide Up Classroom 10-pack
Classroom pack with all components and instruction sets for 10 complete SunnySide Up Solar Cars (with 10 of our 1 volt x 500 mAmp solar pv panels with alligator clip test leads). Screw eyes as axle holders for wooden axles allow incorporation of recycled materials for bodies. Students can customize. Re-usable. [weight: 1.5 kg] Picture

$173.00

SolarDrive
Solar Car and Inventor's kit - with 1.5 volt solar panel, motor, red pulleywheels and o-ring tires. Screw eye axle holders with wooden axles. Configure in different ways. Can build onto recycled materials. Can be customized, or taken apart and used to make other solar-electric machines. Picture

$27.50

SolarDrive II
Deluxe Solar Car and Inventor's kit, with more pulleys, a complete set of five different-sized toothed gears, worm gear, propeller, and extra parts. Bushings allow mounting of any gear or pulley onto motor shaft. Construct various solar cars and a wide range of solar-electric machines. Now with 1.5 volt x 500 mAmp p.v. panels, and an AA battery holder, to introduce solar-electric charging. [Battery not included.] Picture

$37.50

SolGear
SolGear - A Solar gear-drive Car with our 1.5 volt x 500 mAmp solar pv panel with alligator clips. This solar panel produces the same amount of electricity as a D-cell battery, and can be used to solar-charge batteries. The gear ratio makes for a speedy roadster - if it runs into the shade, try a large mirror to reflect sunlight onto it. Light IS energy. Picture

$27.50

SolRun Classroom Kit
SolRun Solar-Electric Machines kit. A classroom kit of components for 15 SolarDrive II's, plus extra pieces, tools and materials. Includes solar panels, gears, pulleys, wheels, tires, propellers, motors, clips, benchhook, saw, pliers, wood, dowel, and instruction sets. Now with our 1.5 volt x 500 mAmp solar panels, and AA battery holders. 50% more power, and the ability to pursue solar-electric charging. [weight: 16 lb.] Picture

1 volt Solar pv Panels (accessory)
SunWind 1 volt 500 mAmp solar panels with alligator clips are made with silicon crystalline solar cells mounted to a firm substrate with clear epoxy. They are marked for polarity and come with alligator clips attached. Each panel produces 1.1 volt 500 mAmps open circuit in full sunlight (or under a bright lamp). Solar panels can be joined together in series or parallel. Clips lead to easy experimentation. Panels are light and rugged. Picture

$14.00

1.5 volt Solar pv Panel (accessory)
This 1.5 volt panel will replace a battery on a sunny day, or charge a re-chargeable battery. With attached polarity marked alligator clip test leads for easy experimentation, these photovoltaic panels transform sunlight into 1.5 volt electrical power at the rate of 500 mAmps. This is roughly equivalent to the available output of a D-Cell battery - but of course runs for years, not just hours. Included with all SolarDrive II and SolRun kits. Picture

$16.00

Solar Charger - 1.5 Volt (accessory)
This combination of SunWind's 1.5 volt x 500 mAmp photovoltaic panel with a single AA battery charger makes a simple but effective solar-electric charging station. Use this panel independently, replacing a battery, or to charge a re-chargeable AA battery. [Battery not included.] Picture

$16.50

Tweazles (8-pack) (accessory)
A strangeness of tweazles (8). Tweazles are wooden tops that spin phenomenally well as they take long-spinning quirky trips on almost any surface. Educational artifacts designed to allow study of the universal motion - Spin. Picture
